Stop a fire
before it
starts.
The Kitchensafe exhaust hood fire suppression system protects kitchens with a domestic hood and range — engineered with a two-stage heat sensor that warns the kitchen staff of a critical increase in temperature on the cooking surface. Reducing the heat will avoid an unwanted activation.
Engineered for prevention. Not reaction.
Six engineered components working as one self-contained unit. Every Kitchensafe ships complete, ready for fire-marshal inspection — no shopping list, no surprises.

Stainless steel.
Built to last.
Nozzles mount to a stainless-steel manifold beneath the hood — our most common install. When the layout calls for it, nozzles can also be inserted directly into the hood. The 1-liter UL300a cylinder, manifold, fittings, and supply lines are all stainless steel. No rust. No fatigue. Built for the long haul.
Fixed Nozzles
Securely positioned. They will never shift during cleaning — so your aim, and your protection, never changes.
Two-Stage Heat Sensor
An audible elevated-heat warning sounds before activation, giving staff time to lower heat and avoid unwanted shutdowns.
Auto Gas / Electric Shutoff
On activation, Kitchensafe automatically disconnects the gas or electric source — eliminating the fuel feeding the fire.
Cylinder Pressure Monitor
A low-suppressant cylinder pressure warning keeps you ahead of maintenance. No surprises at inspection.
Central Alarm Terminal
Doubles as a fire alarm system. Self-contained terminals — no extra modules, no external boxes. Mountable up to 15 ft from the hood, ideal for island kitchens.
Free Training & Same-Day Support
Free video training and certification. We request same-day installation support — it saves the installer time and prevents accidental activation. Every system ships fire-marshal ready.
Built so kitchen staff
never have to
evacuate.
The two-stage heat sensor warns staff in time to lower the heat and avoid activation entirely. If reducing heat doesn't work, Kitchensafe activates and extinguishes the fire before it can spread.

Documented.
What ships in the box, what it does, and what code it satisfies — on one page, in one cut-sheet.
No guesswork.
Just a written proposal.
Every Kitchensafe install is unique. We don't quote until we understand your hood, your appliance, and your plan — then you get a clear proposal in writing.
Send us the basics. We'll handle the rest.
- 01Model and size of your exhaust hood
- 02Model and size of your cooking appliance
- 03Fuel type — gas or electric
- 04Whether your plan calls for a central alarm
- 05Whether a manual pull station is required
- 06Any other details specific to your project
Clear, itemized — parts, install, permits. No hidden line items.
Send your project details. You'll hear back from Tom directly — usually within hours.
A proposal is a starting point, not a contract. Compare us against anyone.
Installation cost depends on permit fees, trip count, and the run length from your control panel to the hood (up to 15 ft). It's built into the same written proposal — one document, one number, no surprises.

480-694-5234The Kitchensafe exhaust hood fire suppression system is all we offer — and it's all we focus on. We've engineered, refined, and certified one product for one job: protecting domestic-style hoods and ranges in commercial and institutional settings.
Most states require a 6-month and a 1-year inspection. We provide free video training and certification so any licensed installer or in-house safety officer can perform compliant inspections.
Yes. We work with licensed, certified installers nationwide. Same-day install support is available, and every system ships ready for fire-marshal inspection — no extra modules, no scavenger-hunt parts list.
Up to 48 inches wide. Single-nozzle systems cover a 30" 4-burner range; dual-nozzle systems extend coverage to a full 48" surface. Both are available in gas and electric configurations.
Three things: (1) a two-stage heat sensor that warns staff before activation, helping avoid unnecessary shutdowns; (2) fixed nozzles that can't drift during cleaning; and (3) a self-contained control panel that doubles as a fire alarm — no external modules required.
Yes. The electronic control panel can be mounted up to 15 feet from the hood, with all terminals self-contained. This makes Kitchensafe easy to spec into existing layouts.
On activation, Kitchensafe automatically disconnects the gas (via solenoid) or electric (via relay) source feeding the appliance, fires wet-chemical suppressant through the manifold, and signals the central alarm terminal — all in seconds.
The first one is always the trickiest.
Kitchensafe installation is straightforward — but no manual replaces a real person on the phone the first time through. Tom personally walks every first-time installer through the system, helping save time and prevent accidental activation.
Training materials and the install PowerPoint are available on request — they come with a same-day call from Tom.
